Stein Medical Weight Loss Specialists, Inc., is excited about helping patients reach their weight loss goals. We are a Physician Supervised Weight Loss Program that only focuses and specializes in medical weight loss. Although we do not treat patients for other medical conditions or illnesses, several medical conditions such as Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, and Osteoarthritis are directly affected and improved with weight loss.
We have proven that successful weight loss is based on educating our patients, providing them with the necessary tools and resources, and providing them with the support of our competent and compassionate team. We believe that patients can lose weight and maintain a healthy weight with healthy eating habits and a healthy lifestyle. Once our patients have reached their target goal weight, we continue to support them so they can maintain a healthy weight. Our program does not teach you how to DIET. We give you a NEW LIFESTYLE.
Our program has had more than 25 years of proven success. We continue to be the most affordable weight loss program in Metro Atlanta with top rated customer service. Come in and experience us for yourselves.
WHY NOT START NOW? If you would like to start making some healthy changes to lose weight on your own, keep a food journal and start counting the number of calories you eat each day. Here is why this is so important:
1. Control Your Calories
Learning how to maintain the amount of calories you intake is important when striving to eat healthier. Keeping count of the amount of calories you eat during each meal will help you become cautious of what you put into your body.
2. Understand Calorie Break Down
Your food choices should not be based solely on the amount of calories you intake, but you must learn about the break down of food. Food is broken down into protein, carbohydrates and fat. It is beneficial to learn how much of each source of calories your body is consuming. Just because it contains a low amount of calories does not mean the nutrients are beneficial to the body.
3. Portion Control
Controlling the amount of food eaten at each meal or snack time will help you become more aware of the foods you should be eating more or less of.
4. Avoid Binging
We all have those times when we overindulge with unhealthy foods. Eating certain foods may make your body crave unhealthy foods. Journaling will help identify the cause of the problem.
5. Provide a Record
Having a record of all the foods you eat throughout the day will eliminate the need of trying to guess the amount of calories you have eaten.
6. Eat More or Less?
Keeping track of the number of calories burned throughout the day and the number of calories eaten can help determine if you should consume more or less calories to maintain or lose weight. If you eat more calories than you burn, you gain weight; if you eat less calories than you burn, you lose weight.
7. Be Ahead of the Game
If you visit a nutritionist or weight loss provider, they will ask you to begin journaling as the initial step. Having a food journal already prepared will allow for suggestions during the first visit.
Whether you decide to use a notebook, a free phone app, or a computer program; journaling your food intake is free of charge.
YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE, EXCEPT WEIGHT!
